HATS Category III- Water and Feed availability At approximately 7:55am on June 1, 2023, while conducting ante-mortem inspection IPP observed the following noncompliance. A load of Canadian cattle arrived at the establishment at approximately 7:30pm on May 30, 2023. The establishment decided to keep the cattle overnight for the following production day. IPP informed establishment management the cattle had to be provided access to feed by approximately 7:30pm May 31, 2023. On June 1, 2023 while conducting ante-mortem inspection at approximately 7:55am, IPP did not observe any evidence the cattle had been provided access to feed. IPP asked establishment management if access to feed had been provided. Establishment management informed IPP they had forgotten to provide access to feed. IPP informed establishment management this is a noncompliance with 9 CFR 313.2(e).
