HATS Category III: Water and Feed Availability On March 8th, 2023, at approximately 10:00 am, while performing antemortem inspection and the Livestock Humane Handling task at Est 9482, SPHV Dr. REDACTED and I, CSI REDACTED, observed an empty black pan in pen two. Pen two contained two market swine. There was no other accessible water in pen two. The bottom of the pan was still wet, and Mr. REDACTED III informed us that the swine were given water two hours ago. Mr. REDACTED III was informed of the issue. The swine were immediately driven to slaughter. A search of PHIS found no water availability NRs in the previous 90 days. This is a noncompliance with 9 CFR 313.2. Establishment owner, Mr. REDACTED was given a copy of this noncompliance report.
