Non-Compliance Description:

On Tuesday September 19th, 2023, at approximately 11:00am three goats were moved in a manner that caused increased excitement and discomfort. Dr. REDACTED, DMVS stopped the animal movement to slaughter. They were notified of noncompliance with federal regulations. These incidences cause undue excitement and discomfort to the animals. This is considered a non-egregious noncompliance with CFR 312.2a of the USDA Meat and Poultry Inspection Regulations. This is a violation of South Carolina Regulation 27-1022 and/or 27-1023, which adopted the cited part(s) of the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 9, Chapter III.
