On 02/23/2023 at approximately 7:20 am I observed a truck unloading pigs in the area next to the entrance of the stunning door. This load was not unloaded at the usual area. As I observed the pigs unloading directly from the trailer to the ground, I observed approximately five pigs fall contacting the ground. I immediately stopped the unloading process, and informed Mr. REDACTED of the noncompliance. I did not observe any injured pigs.

While observing the pens, I noted that the flooring in pen four (4) was tilted. Upon further investigation of the pen, I noted the flooring (blue metal plate) had separated from the frame and was tilted down exposing the frame beneath the pen. A gap was created. The flooring was not in good repair and would allow an animal to slip or fall. Further examination showed another area in the pen with an exposed screw sticking out. (Front wall towards alleyway) The back wall also had an exposed screw sticking out from the wall. These could potentially cause harm to an animal. The plant has not maintained the pen in good repair. The pen was rejected with Tag # B45926582. Mr. REDACTED was notified of this non-compliance.
