Non-Compliance Description:

On April 5, 2024, at approximately 18:55 I, CSI REDACTED, was doing humane handling observation task. I observed pieces of concrete in the backup serpentine ramp prior to the knock box and that were too numerous to count. The pieces of broken concrete varied in size from the size from 2” to 8” in dimeter. I informed REDACTED and showed him my findings. Mr. REDACTED and I walked around to see if we could identify where they came from. We did not find any signs of where they came from. The flooring and wall were intact. The concrete debris posed a hazard to animals moving through the serpentine. They could cause an issue with footing or injure an animal if it stumbled. Mr. REDACTED informed me that he would have them removed. At approximately 19:10 General Foreman REDACTED was verbally notified that a non-compliance record would be issued. The establishment has failed to comply with 9 CFR 313.1.
