HATS Category VIII- Stunning Effectiveness Tuesday, January 23, 2024, while at Daniel-Jackson Meat Processing for a routine humane handling task, I observed plant personnel deliver an ineffective initial stun using a .22 magnum rifle to stun a boar. The animal went down and immediately stood back up. The stun operator reloaded and delivered immediate and effective corrective actions with the same firearm, rendering the animal insensible, and it remained so thereafter.
