313.15(b)(1)(iii)
At approximately 1122 hours while performing Livestock Humane Handling task, HATS Category VIII Stunning Effectiveness, the following non-egregious noncompliance was observed with regards to adequate restraint of stunning area: One small Holstein steer was loaded into the knock box, after the butt bar was lowered, the steer turned around in the knock box. The stunner lifted the butt bar and immediately knocked the steer which was effective and the steer remained unconscious throughout the shackling and sticking/bleeding. REDACTED was notified of the findings and the noncompliance would be issued. Establishment does a have an active Robust Systematic Approach program.
