At approximately 7:05am while preforming anti-mortem inspection in the pens I observed the following non-compliance. Two beef in holding pen #9 and three beef in the loading dock holding pen with no access to water. This is non-compliant with 9 CFR 313.2(e) which states; Animals shall have access to water in all holding pens and, if held longer than 24 hours, access to feed. There shall be sufficient room in the holding pen for animals held overnight to lie down. I informed establishment employees of the animals that did not have access to water, the establishment employees immediately watered the animals in both pens. I then informed the establishment manager REDACTED of the forementioned noncompliance and that I would be documenting an NR.
