Non-Compliance Description:

While performing a humane handling task on Friday May 10th, 2024 at approximately 0830 hours at Towson Cold Storage M18731, IPP observed a humane handling non-compliance during routine slaughter of cattle. Humane handling violation included water not being accessible to 2 steers. This non-compliance is in violation of 9 CFR 313.1. The plant owner was notified verbally of the non-compliance. No reject tag was applied because management took immediate corrective actions by providing water to the two steers.
