While performing the routine annual humane handling verification visit at Country Slaughter and Meats (TA-32012) on November 19, 2024, the following noncompliance was identified: There were multiple metal beams that make up the walls of the animal holding pens that were rusty and sharp which could potentially cause injury to animals. No injured animals were noticed. Plant owner, REDACTED, was verbally notified that this finding was a noncompliance with 9 CFR 313.1(a).
