"Category III Water and Feed". CSI conducted a Humane Handling visit at Eader's Butcher Shop M45570, at 0700 on February 25, 2025. Upon arrival CSI entered the barn area attached to the slaughterhouse. Pen one housed 4-5 black cattle. The water trough approx. 4'x8"x8" was empty, laying on the pen floor. There was no other water source available to animals in this pen. Pen three housed 8-10 market hogs. The same type of trough as mentioned above was observed in the far corner of the pen. The trough was laying on its side, empty. No other water source was available to animals in this pen. Plant manager, REDACTED, was notified of the lack of water and that a Non-compliance would be given for this Humane Handling visit. Corrective actions taken immediately. This is a Non-compliance of 9CFR 313.2.
