At approximately 8:40 am while observing stunning (Category VIII--Stunning Effectiveness), I observed the following noncompliance: The knocking employee was using a pistol. I observed the first shot did not render the pig unconscious. I observed the pig squealing, still standing and bleeding from the head. I then observed the employee immediately administered a second shot which rendered the animal unconscious. Plant owner REDACTED was notified of the non-compliance.
