313.2
While completing Livestock Humane Handling task on 6-3-25 at about 7:40 AM, it was observed that there were three USDA-inspected pigs each placed in two stalls, with one stall located closest to the kill floor door and the other slightly further away from the kill floor door. Each stall has one bucket in them intended for water, which is a key component of the handling of livestock. No water was present in the buckets at any time prior to slaughter, demonstrating non-compliance with 9 CFR 312.2.(e). This regulation is applicable because USDA-regulated establishments, of which M940 is included, are mandated to adhere to Humane Handling regulations, including accessibility to water. Manager REDACTED was notified of the forthcoming Non-Compliance Record (NR).
