On September 2, 2025, at approximately 7:15am while performing the annual FLS humane handling audit, the following noncompliance was observed with HATS Category III. Pens 7 & 8 had six (6) hogs held prior to slaughter and were presented for antemortem inspection to IPP. The six hogs had no access to water. Buckets of water were provided to the Pens 3, 5, and front alley. This is in noncompliance with 9 CFR 313.2(e). Establishment personnel placed water buckets in Pens 7 & 8 once IPP and FLS made them aware of the noncompliance. QA Supervisor REDACTED was notified of the forthcoming noncompliance. On April 11, 2025, IPP discussed at the weekly meeting that water needs to be available to animals held in pens.
