WATER /FEED AVAILABLE Prior to the performance of the Antemortem task on 06-11-25 @ 0702 hours, (This was prior to the days’ slaughter beginning). IIC observed that the pens (8 and 3) contained no water in each of the pens' buckets. Each 30-gallon bucket was empty with pen 8 having 5 beef: and pen 3 having 4 beef in them. All 9 beef animals were held overnight at the establishment in the pens, having arrived and placed into the pens. IIC informed the Manager-REDACTED that an NR would be written, also sharing that the livestock were fed water immediately during antemortem by employees. The employees later stated that the establishment was getting additional buckets for some of the pens that hold larger numbers of livestock. No tag was applied due to the immediate actions of replenishing the water supply. IIC also shared that Dr. REDACTED -SPHV was notified by IIC of the non-egregious noncompliance. This NR shows no association to previous NRs at the establishment. This is noncompliant of regulation 313.2e Animals shall have access to water in all holding pens and, if held longer than 24 hours, access to feed. There shall be sufficient room in the holding pen for animals held overnight to lie down.
