Non-Compliance Description:

On January 27, 2025 Consumer Safety Inspector REDACTED was doing a routine Humane Handling verification task when he found the following noncompliance. At 6:20 am CSI REDACTED went out to the pens to check to see if the water in the pens was frozen, he found two pens with frozen water, one pen had 5 sheep in it the other had 1 sheep in it. A thin layer of ice was over both water tubs. The Ice was immediately broken, and hot water was poured into the water tub. REDACTED was notified of the noncompliance. Regulation 313.2(3)(e) Animals shall have access to water in all holding pens and, if held longer than 24 hours, access to feed. There shall be sufficient room in the holding pen for animals held overnight to lie down. There are no similar noncompliance in the last 90 days.
