According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2023, South Dakota added the highest number of jobs to the private hog and pig farming industry (41), followed by Missouri (25), and South Carolina (19).

On the other hand, Illinois added the least number of jobs (-84), followed by Iowa (-40), and Indiana (-39).
