According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in February, 2023, Louisiana added -55 number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry. Among Louisiana counties, Lafayette added the highest number of jobs (104), followed by Bossier (78), and De Soto (38).
