According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March, 2023, Louisiana added 485 number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry. Among Louisiana counties, Terrebonne added the highest number of jobs (352), followed by De Soto (47), and Lafayette (33).
