According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2023, Texas added 20 number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry. Among Texas counties, Smith added the highest number of jobs (269), followed by Johnson (177), and Reeves (118).
