According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 5.3% (sa) in June, 2005. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (15.5%), Alpine (10.5%), and Colusa (9.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Orange (3.9%), Marin (4%), and Santa Barbara (4.1%).
