According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 6.2% (sa) in March, 2008. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (17.8%), Colusa (17.2%), and Trinity (14.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (4.2%), Marin (4.2%), and Mono (4.3%).
