According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 12.4% (sa) in December, 2010. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (28.3%), Colusa (26.9%), and Plumas (20.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (7.5%), San Mateo (7.9%), and San Francisco (8.5%).
