According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 12% (sa) in May, 2011. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (28.5%), Colusa (20.1%), and Sutter (18.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (7%), San Mateo (7.4%), and San Francisco (7.9%).
