According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 5.5% (sa) in April, 2016. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (24.1%), Colusa (16.5%), and Merced (11.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (3%), San Francisco (3.2%), and Marin (3.2%).
