According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 4.7% (sa) in September, 2017. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (21.1%), Tulare (9%), and Colusa (8.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (2.6%), Marin (2.7%), and San Francisco (2.8%).
