According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 4.3% (sa) in January, 2019. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (20.1%), Colusa (20%), and Modoc (11.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (2.5%), San Francisco (2.7%), and Marin (2.8%).
