According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 9% (sa) in August, 2012. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Montmorency (14.7%), Oscoda (13.7%), and Baraga (12.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (4.6%), Clinton (6.1%), and Washtenaw (6.2%).
