According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Michigan was 8.1% (sa) in January, 2014. Among all Michigan counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mackinac (24.9%), Cheboygan (19.3%), and Presque Isle (17.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Washtenaw (5.1%), Ottawa (5.4%), and Clinton (5.5%).
