According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 4.9% (sa) in June, 2006. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cumberland (6.7%), Essex (6.1%), and Hudson (5.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Somerset (3.6%), Morris (3.6%), and Hunterdon (3.7%).
