According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 762,708 adult arrests made in the US for drug abuse violations offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (551.67K), followed by Black or African American (189.22K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (11.31K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 686,080 (90%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (537.42K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (148.66K).
