According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 687,055 adult arrests made in the US for drug abuse violations offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (470.25K), followed by Black or African American (197.77K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (10.29K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 607,484 (88%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (484.92K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (122.57K).
