According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 8,173 juvenile arrests made in the US for motor vehicle theft offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as Black or African American (4.07K), followed by White (3.79K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (223).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 7,023 (86%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (5.31K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (1.71K).
