According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 15,396 juvenile arrests made in the US for motor vehicle theft offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as Black or African American (9.56K), followed by White (5.48K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (180).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 13,214 (86%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (10.08K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (3.14K).
