According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 55,372 adult arrests made in the US for stolen property; buying, receiving, possessing offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (36.44K), followed by Black or African American (17.13K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (880).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 47,907 (87%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (38.02K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (9.89K).
