According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 22,481 adult arrests made in the US for forgery and counterfeiting offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (14.85K), followed by Black or African American (6.96K), and Asian (383).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 20,007 (89%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (15.82K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (4.19K).
