According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 27,188 adult arrests made in the US for forgery and counterfeiting offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (15.47K), followed by Black or African American (10.70K), and Asian (762).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 27,706 (102%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (19.89K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (7.81K).
