According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 270,568 adult arrests made in the US for aggravated assault offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (152.74K), followed by Black or African American (106.56K), and Asian (5.53K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 244,564 (90%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (179.45K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (65.11K).
