According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 292,494 total arrests made in the US for aggravated assault offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (164.22K), followed by Black or African American (116.29K), and Asian (5.77K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 263,675 (90%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (193.32K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (70.36K).
