According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 2,003,037 adult arrests made in the US for all other offenses except traffic offenses.
By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (1.38M), followed by Black or African American (545.97K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (48.52K).
By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 1,705,403 (85%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (1.39M), followed by Hispanic or Latino (319.53K).
