US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Burglary Offenses in 2020

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 104,535 total arrests made in the US for burglary offenses. There were 80,714 total arrests made in All Cities; 16,654 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 7,167 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 33,777 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group II - Cities had the highest (55.1), followed by Group I - Cities (54.9), and Group VI - Cities (51.5).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
