US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Burglary Offenses in 2024

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2024, there were 98,570 total arrests made in the US for burglary offenses. There were 77,093 total arrests made in All Cities; 15,565 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 5,912 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 31,179 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group I - Cities had the highest (48.5), followed by Group VI - Cities (39.3), and Total Cities (37.8).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
