US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Burglary Offenses in 2023

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 107,459 total arrests made in the US for burglary offenses. There were 83,724 total arrests made in All Cities; 17,092 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 6,643 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 33,567 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group I - Cities had the highest (52.4), followed by Group VI - Cities (44.1), and Total Cities (42.2).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
