US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Robbery Offenses in 2020

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 48,035 total arrests made in the US for robbery offenses. There were 41,569 total arrests made in All Cities; 5,390 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 1,076 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 11,687 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group I - Cities had the highest (41.9), followed by Group II - Cities (28.2), and Total Cities (26).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
