US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Driving Under The Influence Offenses in 2022
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 622,344 total arrests made in the US for driving under the influence offenses. There were 404,342 total arrests made in All Cities; 130,447 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 87,555 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 289,029 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.
In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (594.7), followed by Nonmetropolitan Counties (399.3), and Group V - Cities (274.2).
