US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Driving Under The Influence Offenses in 2024

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2024, there were 696,327 total arrests made in the US for driving under the influence offenses. There were 446,087 total arrests made in All Cities; 130,616 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 119,624 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 312,746 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (567.7), followed by Nonmetropolitan Counties (515.2), and Group V - Cities (265.3).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
