US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Drunkenness Offenses in 2022

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 14,324 total arrests made in the US for drunkenness offenses. There were 12,244 total arrests made in All Cities; 1,835 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 245 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 4,590 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group II - Cities had the highest (15.3), followed by Group III - Cities (10.4), and Total Cities (6.8).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
