US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Property Crime Offenses in 2022

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 637,682 total arrests made in the US for property crime offenses. There were 515,295 total arrests made in All Cities; 97,668 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 24,719 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 243,419 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.
In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (359.4), followed by Group V - Cities (352.7), and Group IV - Cities (317.3).

- Group I - Cities: Cities with a population of 250,000 and over.
- Group II - Cities: Cities with a population of 100,000 to 249,999.
- Group III - Cities: Cities with a population of 50,000 to 99,999.
- Group IV - Cities: Cities with a population of 25,000 to 49,999.
- Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
- Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
