US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Property Crime Offenses in 2024

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2024, there were 811,116 total arrests made in the US for property crime offenses. There were 678,300 total arrests made in All Cities; 109,267 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 23,549 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 295,857 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (369.6), followed by Group V - Cities (367.8), and Group IV - Cities (355.6).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
