US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Rape Offenses in 2022

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 15,930 total arrests made in the US for rape offenses. There were 11,044 total arrests made in All Cities; 3,352 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 1,534 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 5,941 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (7.4), followed by Nonmetropolitan Counties (7), and Group I - Cities (6.5).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
